The urgency to transform food systems is clear, and all actors must play a role. As a global community committed to responsible and impactful business action for nutrition, we call for:
Governments
Investors and Financial Institutions
Private Sector (including all food systems actors, from agribusinesses to food and beverage companies, and retailers)
International Organizations and Civil Society
All stakeholders must hold each other accountable to mobilize commitments to enable business transparency and accountability, and to deliver measurable and meaningful 2030 nutrition results.
A stronger nutrition economy will deliver impact at three levels:
The Declaration was catalysed by the co-facilitators of the N4G Private Sector Working Group–ATNi (Access to Nutrition initiative), the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and Paris Peace Forum – as well as other members of PSWG: The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF); the International Food and Beverage Alliance (IFBA); the Private Sector Mechanism (PSM); the Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network (SBN); Nutrition Japan Public Private Platform (NJPPP); and the World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD). Four companies selected by the French Government to serve on the Paris N4G International Advisory Group are in the PSWG as observers: dsm-firmenich, Groupe Nutriset, CAVACS International, and Inyene Agro Processing Factory.
